The beauty of nature and natural stone is transformative. It changes us in powerful ways, bringing simplicity, calm, and balance to the inner-landscape of our lives. My earth-inspired mosaic wall sculptures are created with this in mind.
Working with the natural beauty of stone, copper, and Italian Smalti, I combine hand-cut bits of “tesserae” into unique and compelling wall hangings. Borrowing from the ancient traditions of the mosaicists of the Byzantine Era, each piece is carefully set into a bed of mortar to create a unified and timeless work of art.
